Curriculum

In addition to our technical training, Computer Assets Consulting offers curriculum and funding symposiums for administrative and instructional personnel. The symposiums are based around current issues facing educational institutions and technology integration. Guest presenters range from manufacturer educational specialist to State educational officials. These sessions give key stakeholders a better understanding for the initiatives they are asked to fund and champion.

The Curriculum Enhancement program is centered on staff development and developing practical student initiatives. Compass Consulting can provide a multitude of options in this arena. The program can be specifically tailored to meet the individual institutions staff development goals or can offer a standards based curriculum that can be delivered either through after-hours classes or through video and web services that can be accessed on demand. The program is based on the following principals.

  • Help staff develop technology skills that can be put to use as part of their normal curriculum day and to help with day-to-day tasks.
  • Help staff develop skills on integrating technology into each of the subjects they handle.
  • Work with Administrators to develop and initiate staff development goals that can be reached through the use of available technologies within the institution.
  • Continual development of staff's ability to integrate new technologies into the classroom, or work environment.
  • Create a comprehensive and creative approach to staff development that will build on institutional strengths and available resources.
